First Things First: Who Goes to Surf Camps?
Everyone. Seriously.
- 50% solo travelers – Coming alone is normal. You’ll make friends day one.
- 30% couples or friends – Sharing the experience together.
- 20% small groups – Bachelor/bachelorette trips, corporate retreats, families.
Ages range from 18 to 55+. Beginners to advanced. The surf camp vibe is welcoming, non-judgmental, and genuinely fun.
💡 Worried about coming alone? Don’t be. Most guests arrive solo and leave with new friends. Shared dinners, group surf sessions, and yoga create natural connections.
A Typical Day at Solid Surf House
Every surf camp is slightly different. Here’s what a real day looks like at Solid Surf House Taghazout:
7:00 AM – Wake Up & Coffee
The sun rises over the Atlantic. Grab a coffee, check the surf forecast on the whiteboard, and watch the waves from the rooftop terrace.
8:00 AM – Light Breakfast
Fresh bread, olive oil, jam, cheese, coffee, tea, orange juice. Enough fuel for surfing – not so heavy you feel sick in the water.
9:00 AM – Surf Session (2–3 hours)
Load into the vans with boards and wetsuits. Your coach drives you to the best spot for your level and the conditions. Group split by ability: beginners, intermediates, advanced.
In the water: Warm-up, theory on the beach, then into the waves. Coaches give real-time feedback. Video analysis on some days.
12:30 PM – Lunch
Back to the camp. Lunch is served family-style. Salads, vegetables, couscous, fish, chicken, or vegetarian options. Water, juice, or Moroccan mint tea.
2:00 PM – Chill Time
Pool, hammocks, naps, reading, or exploring Taghazout town. This is your downtime. Use it.
4:00 PM – Yoga Session (1 hour)
All levels welcome. Focus on surf-specific stretches: shoulders, back, hips, hamstrings. Helps recovery and prevents injury.
6:00 PM – Optional Afternoon Surf
On good days, there’s a second surf session. Or surf skate practice, freedive workshop, or just sunset chill.
8:00 PM – Dinner
The main meal of the day. Moroccan specialties: tagine (chicken, lamb, or veggie), couscous on Fridays, fresh fish, pastilla, or barbecue nights. Always vegetarian options.
9:30 PM – Evening Vibe
Movie night, games, beach cafe trip, or early bed. No pressure to party. No pressure to be social. Your call.
